Are you a temple aficionado? We can help you see the well known as well as the not so well known temples in the Siem Reap area. Have a true temple experience during the day and then come home to the peace and quiet of the luxurious gardens, pool and bungalows at Journeys Within.
Day 1 Siem Reap - Arrival
You will be met by a Journeys Within representative and taken to Journeys Within Bed & Breakfast where you will meet your host Brandon Ross.
Head out to Angkor Wat and watch the sunset from Angkor Wat temple.

Day 2 Siem Reap - Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom
This morning head to Angkor Wat in an air conditioned car, or if you choose by bike, with your guide. Explore this majestic temple throughout the morning while it is still cool and has fewer tourists. Return to Journeys Within for lunch and a nap or refresh with a swim. In the afternoon head to Angkor Thom, the famous walled city and see the many temples within its borders, including the fascinating Bayon temple with its many magnificent faces smiling out. Watch the sun set over Angkor Wat, or climb Phnom Bakeng and watch the sunset.
Head into town to enjoy a traditional buffet dinner and dance show in the evening.

Day 3 Siem Reap- Beng Mealea, Banteay Srei and Other Temples
Wake up early to watch the sunrise over Angkor Wat, then grab a traditional breakfast like the locals do at local stall with some tasty noodle soup. After breakfast head to Beng Mealea, a temple only recently opened to the public.
Return to Siem Reap stopping at Banteay Srei, an intricately carved temple known as the Lady Temple. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant near Banteay Srei and then visit Banteay Kdei and Ta Prohm, two of the prettiest temples in the complex.

Day 4 Siem Reap - Kbal Spean and the Grand Circuit
This morning you will head out of town continuing on a dirt road to Kbal Spean. Once there hike for about two hours to get to the “River of a Thousand Lingas.” In ancient times if water ran over lingas it was said to be holy water. The ancient Khmers therefore made thousands of lingas along this riverbed so the water that flowed to their rice fields was blessed. The lingas and other stone carvings remain today. Have fun exploring the surrounding jungle. Journeys Within will pack a picnic lunch to be enjoyed overlooking the river.
In the afternoon head out to do the Grand Circuit, including the well known temples Preah Khan and Neak Pean constructed by the king JayavarmanVII. Then continue on to see Ta Som, East Mebone and finally Pre Rup, where you will enjoy the sunset in this beautiful quiet setting.

Day 5 Siem Reap - Rolous Group and Tonle Sap
Visit the Rolous Group, a group of Angkorean temples 15 minutes outside of Siem Reap in a beautiful area.
Enjoy lunch at the Foreign Correspondence Club on the banks of the river.
After a rest or swim drive through rural Cambodia to the Tonle Sap Lake where you will take a boat ride to visit the floating village and a Cambodian fish farm. Climb Phnom Krom and see the ancient ruins high on the hill and watch the sun set over the miles and miles of rice paddies and the Tonle Sap.
