Traveling with kids? Journeys Within will welcome you and make you feel at home in their Family Bungalow with space enough for everyone and a kitchen of your own should you choose to use it. Each day we will arrange for you all to get out and see not only the famous temples but to participate in some kid friendly activities too, and of course, there is always the pool for some ‘no temple’ time.

Day 1 Siem Reap - Arrival
You will be met by a Journeys Within representative and taken to Journeys Within Bed & Breakfast where you will meet your host Brandon Ross.
Spend the afternoon relaxing in the garden and having fun with the kids in the swimming pool.
Have dinner at Journeys Within or take a tuk tuk into town and eat at one of the many excellent restaurants down town.

Day 2 Siem Reap - Angkor Wat
This morning head to Angkor Wat in an air conditioned van with your guide. Explore this majestic temple throughout the morning while it is still cool and has fewer tourists. Experience the thrill of a tethered hot air balloon ride to get a bird's eye view of the temples.
Enjoy lunch at Journeys Within Bed & Breakfast.
Spend the afternoon relaxing in the garden, cool off in the swimming pool or if you have the energy, take a trip down town and walk around the local market.
Head into town to enjoy a traditional buffet dinner and dance show in the evening.

Day 3 Siem Reap - Angkor Thom + Elephant ride
After breakfast head to Angkor Thom, the famous walled city and see the many temples within its borders, including the fascinating Bayon temple with its many magnificent faces smiling out. Walk between the temples as your guide shows you detailed reliefs and hidden wonders. Enjoy an elephant ride around Angkor Thom getting the perspective of the early explorers.
Enjoy lunch at Khmer Kitchen, a restaurant specializing in traditional Khmer dishes.
In the late afternoon visit the Wat Thmei Pagoda School sponsored by Journeys Within and benefiting disadvantaged children. Meet the children and help them practice their English.
If you would like the opportunity to have a romantic dinner at one of Siem Reap's excellent restaurants we will provide a baby sitter for the evening and dinner for the kids.

Day 4 Siem Reap - Beng Mealea and Banteay Srei
Enjoy breakfast at Journeys Within before leaving the crowds behind and heading to Beng Mealea, a temple only recently opened to the public; about one and a half hours drive from Journeys Within. After an hour you will leave the paved road and get onto a beaten track running through rice fields and villages of rural Cambodia. At the temple our guide will help you imagine how it once was as you pick your way through the rubble now surrounded by jungle.
Return to Siem Reap stopping at Banteay Srei, an intricately carved temple known as the Lady Temple. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant near Banteay Srei returning to Journeys Within.
Enjoy dinner on your balcony or by the pool.

Day 5 Siem Reap - Markets and the Tonle Sap
Take a walk around the Old Market where the locals and tourists shop side by side. Then pay a visit to Artisans de Angkor to see their workshop in town. Here you will be taken on a short tour to see the students learning the skills needed to produce works of art in a variety of different materials before visiting their beautifully displayed shop.
Choose a restaurant in town for lunch before returning to Journeys Within.
After a rest or swim drive through rural Cambodia to the Tonle Sap Lake where you will take a boat ride to visit the floating village and a Cambodian fish farm. Climb Phnom Krom and see the ancient ruins high on the hill and watch the sun set over the miles and miles of rice paddies and the Tonle Sap.

Day 6 Siem Reap - Village Tour
Set out for our Journeys Within Village Tour. Our village guide will take you to his village showing you rice paddies and typical homes along the way. At his village enjoy a fresh coconut drink and meet his family and neighbors. Walk from here to West Baray Lake where you can take a local boat to an island with some picturesque ancient Khmer ruins. Return to shore where your car will be waiting for you. From here head to Pua District and visit the Artisans de Angkor silk farm where many local women are trained in the art of silk weaving.

Spend the afternoon at your leisure.

Day 7 Siem Reap - Departure
Transfer to the airport in time to catch your flight - .
